Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain
Assembly, believed to be one of the very few Nigerian pastors who have remained principled.
President Goodluck Jonathan may have thought the no nonsense man of God had backslided when the president sent him a cow as Christmas gift.
To the surprise of the presidency, Bakare rejected the gift asking instead that the president should make the common man in the country happy instead of sending gifts to those who are made already.
According to a tweet by Nasir el-Rufai, ex-minister of FCT, Bakare asked those who brought the cow to go and tell the president that the people are asking for good governance, not the sharing of the collective wealth.
