The spate of kidnapping in Lagos state is getting out of hand. The state could be described as one of the most peaceful until recently when armed robbery, kidnapping and other petty crimes soared.

Despite government efforts at stemming the tide, these crimes have continued most times successfully.

Just as the case of Cynthia Osokogu is dying down, another beautiful girl, Morenike, Popoola, has allegedly been kidnapped.

She was kidnapped around Amuwo area of Lagos last night.

A friend of hers, who posted her photo on twitter is pleading with the public to help the family locate this girl with a bright future.
