500 PARTICIPATE IN INDIAN EVENT IN LAGOS


OFBJP Global Convenor, Mr. Vijay Jolly, and the Nigeria chapter of Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) led by Convenor Sanjay Srivastava organized a massive “RUN for UNITY” event at TBS Cricket Stadium, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria recently.

Nearly 500 bright young NRIs turned up for the event to show their solidarity and support for Narendra Modi as future Prime Minister of INDIA.

OFBJP Co-Convenor, Amit Thakar, from India played a prominent role for the success of this program. Eminent Indians from all parts of Lagos participated in the event & it was widely supported by the local friends in media and press.

While addressing the participants Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, Convener, OFBJP Nigeria thanked BJP President Shri. Rajnath Singh, BJP Prime Minister nominee Shri. Narendra Modi and OFBJP dynamic leader Shri. Vijay Jolly for their message of good-will on this occasion to all NRI’s in Nigeria.

Mr. Srivastava in his address stated that had Sardar Patel been the PM of India, the history would have changed course.

"It was Sardar Patel who in 1947 gave directions for the Unity of the country. Today India is a unique country built on diversity. Its togetherness has helped India to survive. We must preserve the oldest civilization and culture of Bharat on this planet today. We all today must support Mr. Narendra Modi and BJP to win 272 plus seats in the next Indian Parliament. We all take a pledge to work for the broader goals of Unity of India," stated OFBJP Nigeria leader Mr. Sanjay Srivastava.

The event was lead by Mr. Vinay Singh, Vice President OFBJP Nigeria, a prominent telecom professional & NRI Cricketer from Allahabad, UP. The other prominent participants who led were Mr. Vinay Singh, Bharat Pandey, Vikas, Anirvachan, Kiran Parab, Prabhat Mehta, Rakesh Srivastava, Praveen Kumar, Ramesh Muriki, Rahul and Sunit kumar etc.

Program started with national anthem of Nigeria and India. Welcome address was given by Shri. Bharat Pandey, Executive Member. The event was anchored by Shri. Kiran Parab, Secretary OFBJP. The event concluded with slogans to support BJP & Narendra Modi.

The OFBJP Nigeria chapter is also running a “BJP Support Awareness” program in Nigeria for mobilizing Indians in India to vote for BJP through social media campaigns through emails, facebook, texts & mobile calls. Our OFBJP unit has succeeded to connect with nearly 5000 families in Nigeria till now claimed Global Convenor BJP Overseas Affairs Mr. Vijay Jolly.

appointments, we have examples of MT Mbu who became foreign affairs
minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a presidential adviser at 27 and so

Why is it that this age bracket is today barred by law from even aspiring to
certain political offices?
Why is it that this age bracket is today incapacitated, unwilling, unable and
incapable of asking questions?
