Photos: Is This How To Become A Nigerian Musician?
Sometimes, Nigerian girls do think that to become a star or win popularity, they must bare it all for every popping eye to see what they are truly made of.
This is the case of this lady, who gave her name as X-Risabi and claims he is an upcoming artist. i wonder what songs this one would sing but i know she is more than a singer. She could be whatever you think she is just like i have my own impression of her.

Why Man Can Die For A Woman’s Breast-Study
Breasts on display |
Mr Young, a leading expert in the neuroscience of social bonding, wrote a column for the Huffington Post, explaining that ‘biologically speaking,’ the human male breast obsession is ‘pretty weird’.
‘Men are the only male mammals fascinated by breasts in a sexual context,’ said Mr Young.
‘And women are the only female mammals whose breasts become enlarged at puberty, independent of pregnancy. We are also the only species in which males caress, massage and even orally stimulate the female breasts during foreplay and sex.’
In answering the question of why ‘men really love breasts,’ the authors reference a neurological explanation that links the same brain mechanisms used to promote a powerful bond between a mother and her infant.
‘When a woman gives birth, her newborn will engage in some pretty elaborate manipulations of its mother’s breasts,’ they wrote.
This stimulation sends signals along nerves and into the brain. There, the signals trigger the release of a neurochemical called oxytocin from the brain’s hypothalamus.
‘This oxytocin release eventually stimulates smooth muscles in a woman’s breasts to eject milk, making it available to her nursing baby.’
They continued: ‘But oxytocin release has other effects, too. When released at the baby’s instigation, the attention of the mother focuses on her baby. The infant becomes the most important thing in the world.
‘Oxytocin, acting in concert with dopamine, also helps imprint the newborn’s face, smell and sounds in the mother’s reward circuitry, making nursing and nurturing a feel-good experience, motivating her to keep doing it and forging the mother-infant bond. This bond is not only the most beautiful of all social bonds, it can also be the most enduring, lasting a lifetime.’
Essentially, ‘when a partner touches, massages or nibbles a woman’s breasts, it sparks the same series of brain events as nursing,’ they explained.
Humans are also among the very few animals that have sex face-to-face, ‘looking into each other’s eyes.’
The authors conclude that this ‘quirk’ of human sexuality has evolved to ‘exploit the ancient mother-infant bonding brain circuitry as a way to help form bonds between lovers.’
Because an oxytocin release focuses the brain’s attention to a partner’s face, smell, and voice, the authors believe that the combination of oxytocin release from breast stimulation, and the increase of dopamine from the excitement of foreplay and face-to-face sex, helps to create an ‘association of the lover’s face and eyes with the pleasurable feelings, building a bond in the women’s brain’.
Far from being creepy, the authors say, a man’s fascination with breasts is ‘an unconscious evolutionary drive prompting us to activate powerful bonding circuits that help create a loving, nurturing bond.’

How Bananas Can Cure HIV/AIDS
We have the potency!!! |
From now henceforth, when you eat bananas, just look beyond the fun and sweetness as scientists are currently proving that there is hope in the fight against HIV/AIDS with bananas.
Read the details below:
Michigan, researchers conducted various ways in order to stop the spread of HIV AIDS virus. Apparently bananas allegedly a key role in new treatments to protect themselves from the AIDS virus.
In laboratory experiments, researchers found that one of the ingredients contained in the banana BanLec same has strong potential with two anti-HIV drugs. Researchers believe this could be used as an inexpensive treatment and potentially save millions of lives. BanLec material is contained lectin, which is a natural chemical found in plants and useful to fight infection.
Researchers from the United States found that the lectin contained in a banana can inhibit HIV infection by blocking entry of viruses into the body. BanLec worked in the protein envelope that wrap from the HIV genetic material. "The problem has been happening in some HIV drugs is the ability of the virus to mutate to become resistant (immune). But it will be difficult to occur if there is presence of lectins," said lead researcher Michael Swason of the University of Michigan, as quoted from Dailymail, Wednesday (17/3/2010). Swason added lectin could bind to sugars found in different places of the HIV-1 envelope and the possibility that this could make the virus difficult to make mutations. The results of this study will be reported in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. Based on experiments in the laboratory researchers have BanLec can function as effective as two anti-HIV drugs are currently in use is T-20 and maraviroc. Currently Swason and the team is developing a process to change the BanLec and making it suitable for human patients.
The researchers believe this material can be used alone or used in conjunction with anti-HIV drugs. In fact, this drug is believed to be quite successful and the potential to save millions of lives around the world.
Currently the spread of new HIV infections increased and is known not all HIV patients can get anti-HIV drugs. "HIV is still rampant in the United States and even in some poor countries it continues to be a prolonged problem. Because HIV can reduce the quality of life of sufferers," said Prof. David Marvovits from the University of Michigan Medical School

When Ovarian Cancer Ravages An 8 Year-Old Girl!
Melinda Cosman |
Ovarian cancer is often known to affect women, but what happens where an eight-year old girl, whose reproductive organs are yet to become mature for procreation suddenly becomes a victim?
Read the sad story of Melinda Cosman below:
Melinda Cosman, of Manchester, Conn., thought the hard part was over when she welcomed her husband home from a yearlong deployment to Iraq.
She never imagined the family would have to endure a more difficult challenge. In June 2011, shortly after her husband returned, their 7-year-old daughter Natalie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
"Your life is put on a test," said Cosman. "It has made us stronger."
Throughout the previous year, Natalie complained of stomach pains, sometimes so excruciating, she would have to miss school. Her doctors chalked it up to constipation, maybe a stomach bug. But when the pain became unbearable, Cosman took Natalie to the emergency room.
"[The doctors] were shooting for appendicitis and they brought her in for an ultrasound in the morning to confirm that," said Cosman.
Instead of a ruptured appendix, the ultrasound detected a 7-centimeter cyst on Natalie's ovary.
Nearly 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, according to the National Cancer Institute. Experts estimate that 500 to 1,000 cases occur in females under age 20.
While cysts are common among women of childbearing age, they are considered rare in young girls who have not undergone puberty.
"Especially girls who haven't had their period yet, nothing should grow on their ovary," said Dr. Judith Wolf, division chief of surgery at MD Anderson Cancer in Houston.
Young girls develop a different type of the disease than adult women, according to Dr. Cynthia Herzog, professor of pediatrics at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Women more commonly have a form called an epithelial carcinoma, where the cancer begins in the cell on the surface of the ovary. For girls with the disease, the cancer begins in egg cells, and develops into a so-called germ cell tumor.
Germ cell tumors make up about 3 percent of all childhood cancers, according to the National Cancer Institute. Ninety percent of germ cell tumors are found in the ovaries or testicles and are more common in children and adolescents.
A biopsy confirmed a cancerous germ cell tumor in Natalie.
"I kept thinking, 'ovarian cancer in a 7-year-old?'" said Cosman.
It can be difficult for many women to come to terms with an ovarian cancer diagnosis. The process of understanding and accepting the diagnosis is often more difficult for young girls.
"She knows she had cancer and that it was ovarian cancer," said Cosman. "To this day I don't think she gets the extent of it."
For Natalie, undergoing treatment meant missing a year of school and having to sit out on her favorite activity: dance.
"I felt disappointed because I like to dance," said Natalie. "I like to perform in front of people. I also had a lot of friends at school."
Two decades ago, treatment for the disease was devastating to young girls. As a precaution, surgeons removed both ovaries, regardless of where the tumor was found. The method eliminated any chance of childbearing.
In recent years, pediatric oncologists have suggested that perhaps a total removal is unnecessary, preserving these young girls' reproductive health.
While the cause of ovarian cancer in young girls in unclear -- studies have not pointed to a genetic or environmental trigger -- treatment for the disease is effective, said Wolf.
"The good news is that even if they're found when they're advanced, they respond really well to chemotherapy," said Wolf, who has treated nearly two dozen cases.
Chemotherapy is over 90 percent effective at treating germ cell tumors, even if it has spread to lymph nodes, according to Wolf.
"The one ovary is removed that's affected and doesn't necessarily mean infertility," said Wolf. In July 2011, Natalie's surgeons removed her right ovary and right fallopian tube.
"There wasn't a doubt in my mind [to do the surgery] because when you're told that your daughter has cancer and that's what's going to treat it, you do it," said Cosman. "I put her in the palm of the doctors."
Natalie also had her gall bladder removed as part of her treatment. Six rounds of chemotherapy followed, and by January 2012, Natalie completed treatment for the disease.
"I feel a lot better besides all that stuff," said Natalie.
"To this day she jokes that her right side is lighter than her left," said Cosman.
While the disease is rare in young girls, Cosman warned parents not to ignore pain symptoms in their children.
Potential signs of the disease in young girls include a lump that can be felt in the abdominal area, severe abdominal or lower back pain, and prolonged bloating or constipation, Wolf said.
In many cases, the disease goes undetected until either the parent or child notices a protruding mass on the child's abdomen, said Herzog, who sees about three young ovarian cancer patients a year, most of whom are teenagers.
"The mass gets to a critical size where it doesn't fit in the pelvis anymore and protrudes," said Herzog. "That's the thing that triggers most girls to get seen."
The U.S. Preventative Task Force recommends against ovarian cancer screening for women who are not at high risk.
Since it's unclear what type of young girl would be at risk for the disease, Herzog said, "It's too rare to make screening for young girls a reasonable thing."
But if symptoms persist, Herzog recommended that parents take their children to a pediatrician for evaluation.

London-Based Nigerian Jailed 8yrs For Supplying Cocaine
Chuba Ihezue |
Chuba Ihezue, 34, was arrested after UK border chiefs intercepted the suspicious 13lb parcel containing cannabis mixed with hair products sent from Nigeria.
Police then found a white powder used to mix illegal drugs after raiding his home in Verney Road, Dagenham.
Jobless Ihezue denied possessing a class A drug, namely cocaine, with intent to supply and fraudulently evading a prohibited class B drug but was jailed at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday.
A Met spokesman said: “When Barking and Dagenham Police were alerted by the UK Border Agency about a package containing 6kg of cannabis, an operation was organised to perform a ‘controlled delivery’ of the parcel to the addressee.

Is This What Some Female Students Do When They Are Broke Or They Just Like Sex?
It is a shame that in a desperate bid to join the clique
of so called ‘big girls’ on campus or build a false air of a wealthy background
around them, Nigerian students, especially the ladies, will go to any length
just to show off. Is it the lack of contentment, greed, inferiority complex or
just behaviour that will make some people offer s*x for money?
The death of Cynthia Osokogu is still fresh in our memories and that is not to say that she was promiscous or wayward, but despite the warning and admonition her parents gave to Nigerian youths especially as it pertains to meeting strangers via social media services as Facebook, BBM, Twitter etc, some girls will not just learn.
Well, they say that the stubborn fly that refuses to pay heed, will be buried along with the corpse. Here is what Linda Ikeji has to say about it as the screen shots you are about to see where culled from her blog: “I have no words. Young ladies, this is not the way to go! Not at all! To save the girl any embarrassment, I cropped out her face and her real name from the convo…”
Please, save your parents the anguish, save Nigerians the pain and please, save yourselves the embarrassment and disgrace associated with things of this nature. Imagine if Linda had not taken the step to hide the lady’s name and photo? Imagine the widespread scandal and shame that would have followed this lady.
